Adhara, The Origin of
Ad-har-ah
Human Origin
    Universally recognized

The story begins in a kingdom of old ruled by a wicked queen who used the power of witchcraft to subject the people to every foul whim and abduct them for torture or experiments. But a young girl, the daughter of a blacksmith, bore a heart of fire and refused to allow this evil to continue. Armed with her father's steel she secreted herself into the queen's castle and assailed her bodyguards. Though she should have died at the hands of the queen's witch-guards she reached the tyrant and drove her sword into the queen's black heart.

When the castle servants came to investigate all the noise they found the queen lying dead and a young girl in shoddy iron armor bleeding out on the throne room floor, a poisoned dagger driven into her chest. Rebellion spread like wildfire and soon the lands were free; the queen's body was tossed into the sea and the brave young woman laid to rest in a grand pyre, said to have burned with white and silver flames. Her name, the stories say, was Adhara. Adharas are said to be born touched by the spirit of that brave young woman.

Blue Card, The
Reference Claymores
Human Origin
    Widely recognized in human civilization

A thick parchment dyed a brilliant royal blue was the calling card of the Claymores. These cards were used in certain locations to attract the nomadic mercenaries, since finding one in your immediate vicinity was not always easy. The bulletins and taverns in which they were often displayed when in need are now filled with the clutter of other pages, yet to this day many Lords and Landholders still have these blue cards safetly tucked away.

Circle of the Moon
Vampire Origin
Well known in vampire and zofien culture

Circle of the moon is a spiritual teaching that has cropped up in the last century and focuses on three stages of a soul's enlightment: humanity, zofienism, and vampirism. Since the zofien virus was made in likeness to vampirism it is viewed less of a virus and more as a stepping stone for mortal creatures to reach their true selves.

By this view humans are not cattle or mere food but are beings who are trapped by souls, doomed to mediocrity and death as planned by the Deities. To break out of this, to become soulless, is to become something more; something great.

Crimson Un-Templar
Reference Varena Valkynd
Human Origin
    Widely recognized in human civilization

The name of a rogue half-trained templar roaming human territory adorned in shades of red. They are known for great deeds and fighting against evil, but unlike actual templar they have no focus on non-human races. The Crimson Un-Templar will strike out against anyone who is deserving of it, following a strict code of honor and righteousness.

Despite all the buzzing tales of this crimson knight none who speak of them can actually describe or truthfully recall who this mysterious red clad person is. It is likely the legend far exceeds its truth by this point.

Death's Blade
Reference Samael Cassalanz
Unknown Origin
    Widely known in most cultures

A name uttered in uncertainty throughout the land; though with a scoff from the aeliavim. It's owner is a wild man weilding a large scythe with incredible ferocity. He's a hunter who thrills in the chase and not one often for mercy. In the rare cases one does get away it is either because it sweetens the catch or the gesture was out of bored pity.

Whether this man sees himself as something more than a man ridding the world of terrible creatures is undeniable, but what side he's helping is the question. Some see it as an extension to Ametrosa, acting as her 'death' instrument to harvest ready souls into her eternal vale. Others whisper it is a darker work, and there are just as many offended by this man's grandiosity as there are who fear his blade.

Madame Graye
Reference Shbylah
Human Origin
Relatively well known in human civilization

The name of a fortune teller who travels irratically between human towns and cities. It's almost more common to meet her on the road than at a stall in the market. She carries hand crafted cards and claims to be able to assess a person with their use; even predict possible futures. No one takes this very seriously and the Madame is well aware of this. Most of her business is sheer entertainment for practically pennies in exchange.

Midnight King, The
Reference Maximillion von Mitternacht
Human Origin
Fairly well known in human civilization

A name commonly known, but often met with either a nostalgic sigh or one of resignation. The name is commonly associated with a semi-renowned Philosopher and writer of numerous books on Social Reform, that speak for the equal treatment of all races, judged upon their own merits, rather than their lineage. In some of his books, he has alluded to the name "Midnight King", using the honorific 'King' and his surname in contrary order, to both identify himself as a Leader of sorts, and as one who opposes norms. The name is also associated with a few other published tomes regarding the unabridged histories of many races, which deviate in many ways from the widely accepted abridged and altered versions. Details beyond that aren't widely known.

More than anything the books are declared 'an honest, enlightened look at the truth so each can decide for themselves. It's been heard that the so-called Midnight King has publicly advocated the rights of all species publicly, although he always wore a mask and strange garb to hide his identity. He is a source of annoyance for racial supremacist groups, but the inspiration of many groups sprouting up that treat the Midnight King's books as reverent truth. Literature aside, he has spoken that all who threaten the lives of innocents should be vanquished, not as a species, but the individuals who are committing the actual crimes.

Shadow of Vicemer
Reference Varena Valkynd
Human Origin
Well known in human and aeliavim culture

Everything in light casts a shadow, and Leon was no exception. He was a great templar warrior that descended upon the enemies of mankind with a fierce swiftness. The Shadow of Vicemer was a title he gained as foil for the typical prayers to Meluxent.

Unfortunately Leon has not been seen for many years and is presumed dead. It is known he survived the horror that tore apart his company, as he was spotted occasionally wandering from time to time afterward, but for the past while there has been nothing. There are several speculations as to how this could have happened. Most of which fall negatively upon his once squire.
