As Vince sat down at his workbench in his workshop, he couldn't help but sigh. At the moment, he was kind of feeling utterly devoid of inspiration. He didn't know why, but he guessed he just didn't have any good ideas invention-wise for the time being. So, for now, he was just kind of fiddling with his Abacus. Maybe trying to solve some calculations might help him.
Alas, it didn't seem to do anything. Sighing again, he put his abacus back down, and rested his head against a flat part of his workbench. He tried to figure out what kind of thing he should come up with next. Something for farming? No, maybe another time. An improvement on the abacus? No. He sighed for the third time. Well, maybe he could fiddle around with explosive-related ideas. Maybe try to find explosives that were better to contro-
Gunpowder, gunpowder, gunpowder...
All of a sudden, he sat right up in his chair, and started pondering. "Gunpowder's mostly been used for mining explosives. But, if I could find a way to use gunpowder for projectile weaponry- Yes!" He yelled out, sounding absolutely ecstatic. "I need to come up with a design right away!" He said, getting a quill pen and a piece of parchment, he dipped in the tip, then started vigorously working on a design.

As he worked on this first design for a gunpowder weapon, he used his knowledge to figure out what it should be like. When he was finished with the design schematics, and had even done some calculations, and figured out what the ammunition would be like, he came up with a most cylindrical weapon, probably made out of iron, and something that could be carried by a human. One could put gunpowder and shots inside of it. It would also have a wooden stick with a metal end that could be heated and ignite the weapon, allowing it to be able to fired.
And, then once he came up with that, he knew he would have to come up with some kind of mold design for blacksmiths to use to make the weapons, so, figuring out the dimensions, he quickly got to work on designing the mold with another piece of parchment. Once he was finished with his designs, he looked over them proudly, a grin on his face. He just might have finally come up with the perfect weapon to use against the Zofien.
