The wilds close to home, Sengraf is a massive untamed region that humans have been attempting to grow into and control for some time. The small mountainous region that cuts through marks the barrier in which they have control; everything southward inhabited by a plethora of dangerous beasts that still exceed the humans' capability to breech. The mountains themselves can barely be considered tamed by any means with an abundance of large predators, such as mountain lions, but the noise and bustle of the mine being cut into the behemoths help with keeping the wilds at bay.
The rest of the northern section of the region is rich soil and the slightest lob of hills, making for a rather smooth scenic view as one travels through. It is believed the grand fertility of the region is due to the Mother's Tree nestled in a sacred glade at the bend of the mountains. Many early attempts were made at making a path closer to the tree but with the fierce resistance of the wilds it was deemed too dangerous; perhaps a sign it is a place reserved for only those worthy.
Passed the river however is a whole other world. The rivers themselves peeling down the mountains and in rushing from the ocean are deep, rapid, and fast. Like the rest of this region they are lush with life and refreshingly clean but humans are not the only ones who appreciate such features. Plenty of bear and boar roam the area but they are not the most frightening of encounters nor the greatest worry the inhabitants of Sengraf prepare themselves for. Taking up several miles of real estate is the darkest forest in all of Iendol, the Mawreave. It seems to draw all manner of feral beasts into its cramped wood and release its horrors at night. South of this the region the hills intensify with tall grasses and various rare flora making it perfect for hiding and stalking.
