Mountainous and home to many of those who prefer dark nooks and crannies. The range possesses a valley for easier travel between the human realm and Dovor one side marked with the white of ever-winter and the other pitted with caves, both of which house all sorts of hostile creatures. Other than material gain or scouting missions there is little need for many to traverse the mountains; besides the vampire clans who call it home and the Halflings who do business along the range. One of their 'outposts', the Pathfinder's Rest, is nestled in the south and is usually bustling with the usual tavern joys.
However there are low amounts of Aeliavim activity in the area, excluding the residents of Dovor. It is presumed this is because of the infant grand tree resembling the tree of Haghre, and the dire quint rich area it grows upon. While the bleeding tree is left in great health the area surrounding it is being constantly mined by Aeliavim.
One of the latest scouting excursions into the mountains has revealed the location of an old mine that had been prospected by the first push of the human race into the mountains. Abandoned now, but very obviously not stripped clean. There is a long tunnel reaching to the roots of the grand tree on the other side of the range, and other webs of trails going deeper into darkness.
